Isoda Spinning Workshop

I create copperware using the “spatula-squeezing” technique in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture. The spatula-squeezing technique involves using two spatula-like rods—one held in each hand—to squeeze a rotating metal sheet, shaping it into the desired form. I then finish the piece by hammering it with a gold hammer to create patterns.
